There is a Chinese restaurant called ‘Dowon’ at The Plaza Hotel near Seoul City Hall Station.
If you enter the hotel entrance and take the escalator or elevator up, you can see the restaurant entrance on the 3rd floor. The interior of the restaurant is not luxurious and shows traces of time, but it feels neatly organized. On May 25, 2021, the hotel was certified as a five-star hotel by the Korea Tourism Association’s Hotel Industry Rating Administration, so it is not fancy, but I think it is natural to have a luxurious interior.
It’s hard to eat if you don’t make a reservation in advance, so it’s always better to make a reservation before visiting. In particular, Beijing duck takes a long time to prepare, so you can’t eat it unless you make a reservation.

The basic side dishes are ready, and cucumber salad, green onion salad, and sauce for Peking duck are ready.
The chef himself brings the Peking duck with a tray, and cuts the skin thinly with a knife in front of us and puts it on a plate. After finishing the Peking duck, lettuce wraps made with lean meat are served, and grilled wings and legs are served. If the two of us eat up to here, we’ll be really full.
I’m full, but I still have to eat dessert. I share my favorite Tantan noodles as dessert. Also, there’s a hot tea that follows, but there’s no picture.
